Space events in Berlin with the Bremen Presidency
Panel discussion (23 May) and Council of Mayors' meeting (24 May)
The next meeting of the CVA Council of Mayors, to be hosted by the Bremen Presidency, will be held in Berlin on 23-24 May. It will take place at the Permanent Representation of the State of Bremen, located at Hiroshimastraße, 22 - 10785 Berlin. "The Younger Generation's Vision for Space and the Future for European Launchers" is the theme of the Panel Discussion open on 23 May to the public, in which young people - as future experts and decision-makers - will compare their ideas with those of today's space development and applications specialists and political decision-makers.
Peter Hintze, Parliamentary State Secretary and Federal Government Coordinator for Aerospace Policy, and a number of other decision-makers from the worlds of politics, business and industry have confirmed their participation.

Launcher Sponsorship by the City of Bremen
The third Automated Transfer Vehicle, ATV-3, dubbed Edoardo Amaldi, was lofted into space and towards the International Space Station (ISS) by an Ariane 5 ES launcher on Friday 23 March at05:34 Bremen time (01:34 Kourou time, 04:34 GMT). This Ariane launcher carried into orbit the name “Free Hanseatic City of Bremen” together with the key from the city’s coat of arms.

2012 CVA Summer School at Salon de Provence
Salon de Provence and the Ecole de l'Air to host the 2012 CVA Summer School (1-27 July)
Salon de Provence and the Ecole de l'Air will host the CVA Summer School on 1‑27 July 2012. This is aimed at students having completed at least three years’ scientific or engineering studies in higher education and at young space professionals. The 2012 session will have as its main theme human spaceflight and will include tours of firms in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Toulouse regions. Registration will begin in all Ariane Cities in February 2012 .

Forum de l'Aéronautique at Salon de Provence
Some 350 people eagerly visited Salon de Provence’s first Forum de l'Aéronautique, which took place at the Espace Charles Trenet on 9 December 2011 and was organised by the Mission Locale du Pays Salonais.
The CVA was present to promote European space transportation and speak up for the space sector at a stand shared with Espace’éco, the town hall’s initiative to help local firms develop.
