The launch of the first two operational satellites in the Galileo constellation by the first Soyuz rocket to be launched from French Guiana is a historic moment for European Space. Many events have been organised by the space agencies and space industry in several European cities and a special programme set up by the European Commission, on the Solidarnosc Esplanade, in front of the European Parliament, 60, rue Wiertz, in Brussels. The launch is scheduled for the 21 October 2011 at 12:30:26 CEST* (10:30:26 GMT).
