During the 19 May proceedings, chaired by Ignacio Niño, CEO of the City of Madrid’s International Strategy and Action Office ‘Madrid Global’, the Council unanimously granted CVA membership to Salon-de-Provence along with the École de l'Air facility, which for some years has considerably developed its space training provision. The meeting was followed by a visit to the INTA/NASA Deep Space Communications Complex at Robledo de Chavela. Participants were then given an opportunity to follow the proceedings of the International Conference on the Future of Space organised by the City of Madrid and the CVA in partnership with the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), on 20-21 May.
